    -not sleeping, darn that daylight savings!
    -reading the 2nd half of a very large book
    -buying Halloween candy
    -talking to my brother, my husband, and my mom on the phone
    -giving the kids a bubblebath

    -Washing the streaks of oil off of my cat, who was hit by a car on his first trip outside this morning

    -eating cereal for dinner

    -wondering if i’ll be lonely again this week here, or if it will stay away for awhile

    -marveling at boyfriend who cooks and cleans so i can write

    -killing fruit flies when i rise for bathroom break

    …i enjoy your blog tremendously

    -not sleeping, also
    -pumpkin bread with coffee on the back porch
    -trying to write a 10 page research paper about Jane Eyre and roles of women in victorian society
    -reading blogs and eating cheesits during a much needed break

    - enjoying the sunshine streaming in the office window
    - brunch of sausage and home fries
    - visiting all of my favorite blogs and fickr friends
    - watching football with the other half
    - a long walk with the dog
    - finishing up a novel (way overdue)
    - hopefully, taking some pictures
    - weekly visit with mom

    so thankful for the extra hour, it felt good for the day not to be halfway gone before I had the chance to get started.

    - curling up on the family room floor with my laptop
    - rewatching the beginning of “Gone with the Wind” ( I admit it- I love the parts where she is rich and wears fabulous dresses)
    - hunting for a good new novel at the bookstore
    - writing lesson plans as well ( but mine are HS Amer. Lit. )
    - chai latte
    - watching the wind pull leaves from their trees and send them dancing around the backyard

    …waking up to, “Time to get UP mommy!” and the tug of my hand
    …pancakes with my boys and off to the park
    …reading my book club book, The Glass Castle, which is really good
    …cold glass of chocolate milk
    …snoozing while reading
    …chicken noodle soup and bbq baked lays
    …my daily diet coke (down to one and almost not missing it)
    …organizing photos on my mac
    …the amazing race later tonight
    …story time with Em at the day’s end

    -hosting a bagels-and-lox (YUM) brunch for hubbie’s band mates
    -taking a brisk walk around the very windy neighborhood, wheezing by the end (no biggie)
    -watching “How Do I Look?” on the Style network (confession!)
    -reading Cuddles the Cow, over and over, to Miss Tessa

    ~drinking Italian roast and reading 2 Sunday papers at the kitchen table in the sunrise light
    ~writing a post, reading blogs and doing some random linkety-linking (I always love when I find new places to savor.)
    -eating leftover pizza
    ~taking a phone call from my mother
    ~using that extra hour to take a decadent nap
    ~about to head out for a bike ride in the Cali sun
    (Sorry about the sleet and power outage!)

    ~I didn’t feel like I got an extra hour of sleep, that’s for sure! It took a lot of coffee to get me going.
    ~Rode to church with rollers still in my hair
    ~Sang in both services, took Communion kneeling by Beaux, which almost never happens, and is very sacred to me
    ~Ate Chinese take out on the couch
    ~Carved a pumpkin
    ~Took a tiny nap!
    ~Had a very exciting, productive meeting
    ~Drank a pumpkin spice latte
    ~Went to a Halloween party with the GBK
    ~Bought a fabulous feathered witch hat

    It’s been busy but a really wonderful day. *Yawn*

    *attended a new church for the 2nd time
    *ate leftover chicken ‘n dumplings (yum!)
    *baked a made-up recipe; Spice Squares
    *worked on a new painting
    *read a few chapters of Catherine Coulter’s book, “Point Blank”
    *surfed the net, blogged and updated my website

    My plans for a lazy Sunday afternoon flew out the window when my husband surprised me by coming home 1 week early from his stay in Norway. Let’s just say we had some catching up to do ;)
