Ah, but the weekend’s coming. Fresh air, lots of activity — he’ll be worn out again!
June 1st, 2007 @ 2:51 am
.. I hope that you can start all over, now that you jinxed it – and the magic of a sleepy little guy will rise again … pssst!

I was up at 3:30 with my 10 year old and again at 4:30 with my 8 year old. Some nights it is musical beds in our home. As I get older I realize I don’t need as much sleep! Or that’s what I keep telling myself

No jinx, just a fluke. I hope?
And oh my goodness, your new banner is GORGEOUS. It’s BELLISSIMA! Or however you spell Italian words -

I was up at 1am last night — er, this morning — with Julia, who fell out of bed and cut her forehead in the process. Ah, sleep…I miss you so…

I know how you feel, really. Just when we get back on schedule something happens to throw it all off again (vacation, sickness, teething) and then we’re back to 2 A.M. wake up calls. I think the loss of sleep is by far the hardest part of parenting. big hugs, from one tired mom to another.

Just noticed your new masthead! Gorgeous!
June 1st, 2007 @ 5:18 pm
shoot – Molly beat to it – to say lovely new masthead! and maybe with the weekend, you can get caught up …a bit!…on your sleep – like a nice nap with an open window and breeze that makes the curtains flutter
June 2nd, 2007 @ 2:51 pm
I like the new masterhead. It is very cool, with the heat we are having hear. Things go up and down, just like the oceans.

You know what I have learned as the mother of three kids? There is NO date when they “sleep through the night”. I never was able to fill in the blank on that page of the baby book. Even my four year old still wakes every third night or so and asks for a drink of water or for me to fix his blankets.
There just comes a day when you realize that MOST nights are good, the comforting goes much more quickly, and you feel relatively refreshed in the morning. THAT is success.
