Gallop, gallop, gallop

Whew. Met the deadline, but now: getting ready to leave my classroom in the hands of a sub. A very capable one at that, but still, do you have any idea how hard it is to clone yourself? That’s what writing lesson plans for an entire week feels like.

Too darn busy.

Hence the almost absence from around here. Will be back shortly.

Yes. I just did it for the last week of exams (two weeks ago) to go to the Palm Beach Poetry Festival. I came back to find out half my last hour class had cheated, but I was able to pass it off to the principal. Of course, it’s quite a different story when you’re teaching wee ones, packing day after day in. I thought, at first, maybe it wasn’t worth all that trouble, because I was working for that week times two, but when I got there… oh, everything was so magical and wonderful. Treasure every moment you have!
