Things I want to know:

… If every 3 ½ year old goes through a phase of DISAGREABLE that involves rejecting every choice and every option presented to him, and also often involves throwing himself to the floor in sobbing dramatics when told that those are his only choices, or even, at his very worst, saying, No Mommy! You listen to me! when told to listen.
And also…
If the rest of the world really thinks Palin is a charming and gorgeous as Pakistan’s president does (ick.)
Why anyone in the world really thinks Palin would make a good VP, or, god forbid, the president.
Why McCain thought smirking endlessly during the debates would make him come off as anything other than an ass.
Why anyone really would vote for someone who has voted for 90% of the things Bush has voted for. Seriously.
Why I am still feeling indigestion/nausea/ridiculous unpleasantries when I am 18 weeks pregnant.

Things I want to know:
Is there anyone in the US who supports McCain/Palin? From my perspective up in Canada, it seems that no one does. I also thought that of W, but then he got RE-ELECTED. So I don’t trust my sources, and won’t be too surprised (yet dismayed) if McCain gets elected.
Is everyone in the States with a blog a Democrat?
Most likely it’s just that I read blogs that are agreeable to me, which may mean that these writers are somewhat similar to me in worldview, and so we have similar political leanings.
No?

As an Alaskan I am downright horrified that Sarah Palin is running for VP and that people are actually willing to vote for her. Ugg, it makes me sick just thinking about it. So I’ve got no answers for you on that one.

What you descibe is commonly known as the Nein!-Phase here in Germany (which translates to the “Phase of No!”). Not that I know anything of it – I can’t remember my own and am yet to experience having a kid of my own. I’m sure glad this won’t apply to a 7 months old child though, as I’ll be babysitting a (hopefully) real cutie (with one tooth) next week!

In a world where George Bush was re-elected …
In a world where living close to someplace else counts for foreign policy experience …
In a world where the president of Pakistan hits on a vice-presidential candidate in front of TV cameras …
… anything is possible.

I was just reading the other day on Ask Moxie re: the disagreeable age of 3.5…sorry to have to tell you, my friend.
@Leah – there are PLENTY of people supporting McCain/Palin. (not I, but my family, many friends…) I don’t understand it (well, I do, but I still can’t wrap my head around it) and I think the Thursday debates will shed a little light on the true state of things…at least, that’s what I’m hoping. It’s gonna be ugly, I think, and hopefully many people will wake up and say, um, this is not who I want in the White House, or even close to it…

I am sorry you still feel sick! How dreadful.
This past weekend on my blog, I asked people who they were voting for and I was shocked at how many said McCain. My oh-so-scientific poll was shockingly close to real polls: Obama just slightly ahead.
I don’t wanna plug my blog on yours, but you can see the results if you click on my name and look at my Spetember 26 post. I don’t understand people.

Wait. I take it back. I DO understand people, at least I think I understand the people who wrote on my blog. A lot of my readers are deeply religious, although I am not, and my assumption would be that they are voting for McCain because his views are simillar to theirs. That’s be my guess.
Shutting up now. Feel better.

1. Yeah, the terrible 3s are tough. 4 is a sublime age though…
2. Palin. I don’t get it. I liked McCain before this campaign. Now I just see him as an out of touch old coot, far too similar to our current sitting president. The selection of Palin is simply offensive, particularly when the Republican party is rife with competent women (assuming he wanted to make a gender play, which seems likely): Olympia Snowe, Kay Bailey Hutchinson, etc.
3. Feel better soon!

Hasn’t your doctor had any advice about the nausea continuing? urgh. McCain/Palin is enough to make ME morning sick. I don’t understand it either.

My four and half year old says: No, mummy listen to me, just listen to me – when things are not going her way. She only thinks you are listening when you give in to her demands. Very tiresome. We are trying postive re-training.
Ah yes McCain and Palin – here in NZ we hope the best for you! And I do wonder who could possibly think those two have the right idea about almost anything!
Morning sickness – i usually have it until almost half way into second trimester. it’s vile. hope yours has eased by now.
