Numbers

Yesterday was my birthday. I am 31. This terrifies me somewhat. Friday is the end of my work week–and the beginning of my leave. This excites me. Next Tuesday I’ll be 37 weeks. Full term. Not sure what to think about this. I am on auto-pilot until then. Wishing I could just hit fast forward.

I had my first at 30 and my second (and last) at 33. I’m 46 now. Some days I feel ancient, others I’m 20 again.
Looking back, though, my 30s were a magical time. Enjoy them.

I love the way we know exactly what week it is when we’re pregnant. I can’t think of any other time that I’ve known how many weeks (and days) I was into something except when I was pregnant. OK, except for the first few weeks with a new babe, who manages to fast forward into months and years before we know it! Enjoy this time — and you look beautiful!
