What is your greatest human intent?
Where we are and where we’ve been
Cherry blossoms
One year ago, today

What are you up to today?

Today I am working. Trying not to get the cold that I already have. And trying to shake the exhaustion. Oh, and I must be perusing the internet as well….

Today I was the helping parent at my daughter’s elementary school and it took all of me. I wish I was that mama that enjoys doing and helping, but I don’t. I do it because it’s important to my girl but it’s not my natural instinct. Sigh.

And after a delicious grilled dinner, I’m planning to hunker down with my book, The Women by TC Boyle. xx

Today I played construction for over 2 hours. Today I went from one task to another. I hope I can keep up this pace as the boys…and I…get older. I hope I can understand real organization so that I can get more done with my time & energy. My greatest human intent is to be a good mom-one that my boys will love to call every week…or maybe even go to lunch with! heehee

I’m so glad to see your site back up – from my end it was looking like you lost your domain name for a while there!

This morning I sent my boys across the drive to the grandparents and got a poetry submission out the door. Now I’m bracing for the return of Hurricane Boys and wondering which My First Science Experiment my Small Boy is going to want to do this afternoon…

Today I finished the first part of a client project. I am working on the color scheme for my website, finally. I discovered “Finish it Friday” on http://creativeorganizing.typepad.com a few weeks ago and think I will actually finish – the dishes. It does feel like an accomplishment every time, but oh, I am longing for that dishwasher …

Jamie, maybe the site mentioned above might inspire you to action as much as it motivated me?

Thank you, Johanna–I looked at it immediately! I’ll read it more closely tonight! :)

My boss said to me recently that we tend to overestimate what we can do in one year but greatly underestimate what we can do in ten years. I like the freedom that that gives my imagination, although it’s not such good news for my impatient side.

Today I ate lunch in the sunshine. It was fantastic.

Taryn, I was just thinking of that! Thanks for the nudge. I’ll post some more.

And I’ll totally take the “young handwriting” as a complement.
