LOVE this! summer is so hard for us … the lack of the usual routine, the HEAT (it has been around 98 with a heat index of about 115 for the last few days!). it makes it hard to keep them busy … the days are sooo long. i love the idea of giving bean chores … i think i will try this with porter … i think he will appreciate the responsibility.

I just discovered your site when we both commented on Nikki’s Fridaville blog. I love how you talk about wanting to fulfill your creative life while also constructing a creative framework for your family. l hold a similar intention for my own life — balancing the inner world of my writing and the vibrant outer world with my 5-year-old son. Look forward to reading more!
